E-MOBILITY

Electric Vehicle

Market Overview

The global finished vehicle ecosystem is rapidly shifting its pivot from internal combustion locomotives to electric vehicles. This is because humanity is forming a consensus that, above all else, the environment must be given the highest priority if it is to be sustainable. However, compared to finished vehicles, two-wheeled vehicles (motorcycles) have been relatively slow to convert to electrification. As the two-wheeled vehicle market has grown rapidly since the COVID-19 pandemic, the transition to electrification is in earnest led by the government and manufacturers

Business Overview

Business Segment of Secondary Battery

LCM plans to advance into the following four business areas through its self-manufactured secondary batteries. Among them, the fields that our company focuses on are Military and E- Mobility. Among them, E-Mobility, whose market is growing globally, can be said to be a key promotion item.

E-Mobility

  1. • More than 70% of Naju Plant's total Production
    • Concentrate on the global E-mobility business field that requires high performance with a differentiated sales network rather than ESS, where price competition has intensified.
    • Carrying out niche marketing that is different from the business field of large battery makers with customized designs

• LCMES's Naju plant has a large-scale cell production capacity of 1.65GWh, so it can respond to all customers who need battery solutions around the world.
• After completion of the factory, sales of over 500 billion won are planned from the second year excluding the first year of mass production
• Aim to increase annual sales and improve operating profit by gradually increasing pack production

Our Strategy

LCM EV Market position

• In the EV market, due to the high proportion of battery prices, it is difficult to respond to large battery makers due to ultra-low-price competition and mass production capacity for each vehicle type.

• It is easy to enter the special market due to the prospect of battery supply shortage along with the rapid increase in demand for electric vehicles.

▶▶▶ Product development and customer response targeting the low-volume, high- margin market that requires premium prices and high-performance products

LCM Sales plan for EV

• Development of high-performance cell products (high-speed charge/discharge, long life)
• VDA Module development (VDA: German Automobile Association abbreviation, automobile industry association standard)
• Manufacturing cost reduction / formation of price competitiveness
• Finding high-performance customers

xEV Module Roadmap

Introduce Our Battery

Characteristics of LCMES Battery

- Application of z-folding stacking method capable of realizing high energy/power density and having excellent product quality stability
- Low internal resistance and excellent cycle characteristics
- Battery design for improved performance and safety
- Satisfying customer requirements by changing the electrode composition according to the application

Characteristics of LCMES Battery

The battery cell provided by LCMES is currently a standard product family and is planning to produce products in the form of Bi-polar and Uni-polar types and is divided into power products and energy products according to required performance.

LCMES standard Cell design

Bi-polar type Uni-polar type

Specification

The specific specifications of the product are as follows.

Battery Pack

LCMES's battery pack not only configures a customized system by modularizing several cells by connecting them in series/parallel, but also has excellent module and pack scalability. In addition, it is possible to maintain pack performance and secure safety through cell voltage balancing and temperature sensing through BMS, and depending on the product type, a cooling method can be applied to suppress pack heat.

Our Goal

E-Mobility Specialized Company

We aim to become a company that produces all products related to e-mobility, such as batteries, battery charging stations, and electric vehicles.
